‘You’ll Never Walk Alone’ singer reveals why he’s been missing his wife for so long
BRIAN HICKSON/FOXNEWS.COM The singer behind the country hit “You’ll Always Be My Friend” and the country song “You Won’t Find Another” shared with Fox News a story about the death of his wife, Susan.
“She’s been in a coma since May of this year,” he told Fox News.
“I’ve been trying to get to her every day for the last few months, and it’s been a very tough month for her.”
He added, “I really, really love her, but I can’t bring myself to spend my days with her.”
The story has a happy ending, however.
Susan died on Monday after a lengthy battle with breast cancer.
The couple met at a music festival in Las Vegas.
“There was no way I could have survived this long,” Susan wrote in her obituary.
“Her heart was my life, and I’m so glad I can finally share it with her, the world and all her friends and fans.”
