The number of songs on Netflix that can be listened to on Spotify rose to 2.25 million in the week ending June 20, up from 1.65 million on the same day last year, according to data from analytics company Statista.

In 2016, Spotify added over 1.4 million artists, artists and labels to its platform and saw a 20 percent increase in total revenue.
Spotify was able to grow its subscriber base through digital content and partnerships with brands.
