Maroon 5’s new album ‘Ain’t You’ is an epic listen
The band has released its new album, Ain’t You, and I Feel It Coming, which features some of their best songs to date.
It’s the second new album in three years for Maroon and the title track has become a familiar one.
It is the band’s best track since their critically acclaimed debut, 2012’s No Surrender, and it has already earned multiple nominations.
“Ain’s” lyrics were inspired by a conversation with Maroon singer Tyler Joseph in which he was asked how his bandmates felt about the death of his father.
“Tyler told me that I’m the one who was holding it together,” Maroon bassist and frontman Maroon Williams told Rolling Stone.
“I was like, ‘No, no, no.
That’s not me.
You know what I mean?’
I felt like that was the biggest thing, and that’s what the record is about.”
The new record, which is out August 31, was produced by James Murphy (Dirty Projectors, Weezer) and is produced by Joey Bada$$.
Maroon is touring with its new record in support of its upcoming fourth studio album, the forthcoming A Night At The Opera.
